Summer 2009 will be the 15th season for the Ozone Action Day Program.
The Ozone Action Day Program is dedicated to informing and increasing public awareness (Public Awareness Survey) of the possible health risks and the environmental impacts of ground-level ozone.
Northeast Ohio was declared in nonattainment of the Clean Air Act's National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS). NOACA's Environmental Advisory Committee formed new task forces to review air quality issues and the State Implementation Plan (SIP) process that includes Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, Medina, Portage and Summit Counties.
